Worlds Worst Measles Epidemic Reaches Death Toll Of More Than 6,000

More than 6,000 people have died in the Democratic Republic of Congo in what the World Health Organization (WHO) is calling the “world’s worst measles epidemic.” Area health officials are requesting “adequate finances” in order to “end the outbreak” and “lift the burden of this prolonged epidemic” from thousands of Congolese families. Video Doorbell Captures Historic 24 Hour Snowfall in Newfoundland

The Canadian city of St. John’s superseded its record for the most snow in 24 hours, recording 30 inches (76 cm), as the storm hit Newfoundland and Labrador this past Friday. A state of emergency continued in the provincial capital and elsewhere through Sunday. Snow drifts rose 12 to 15 feet high on some highways, officials said.
