Banksy Just Opened a Pop-Up Homewares Store Called Gross Domestic Product

Legendary street artist and provocateur extraordinaire, Banksy, is back with his latest offering, a pop-up homewares store in Croydon called Gross Domestic Product (where art irritates life). GDP is the homewares brand from Banksy and the pop-up will be the first and only store. Banksy Crashes the Venice Biennale

The Venice Biennale is recognized as one of the most prestigious art shows in the world. “For some reason I’ve never been invited,” Banksy laments, as he decided this year to set up his own stall anyway, at the famous Piazza San Marco. “Venice in Oi” is an original work by Banksy that features Venice’s famous Gondolas dwarfed by a giant cruise ship. Banksy Just Blitzed Paris With At Least 10 New Pieces

Banksy has just blitzed Paris with a series of new, politically charged works that highlight current issues in France such as migration and the hijab ban along with his usual criticisms of commercialism and income inequality. He also acknowledged the 50 year anniversary since the ‘May 68‘ uprising in France which he claims was the birthplace of modern stencil art.
