Sharon Osbourne Spills NBC Salary Tea As Gabrielle Union Sits Down With Lawyers Over Simon Cowell Controversy! – Perez Hilton
Gabrielle Union may be getting closer to a resolution
She tweeted:
“We had a lengthy 5-hour, and what I thought to be, productive meeting yesterday. I was able to, again, express my unfiltered truth. I led with transparency and my desire and hope for real change.”
Nice!
This is at least a welcome development after Union’s reported firing last month after she apparently spent much of her time on the show raising concerns about some of the production’s blind spots towards women and people of color.
According to Variety, a spokesperson for NBC had no immediate comment on Union’s most recent public tweet on the matter.
Sharon Osbourne jumps in!
Another former America’s Got Talent judge is now jumping into the fray and spilling WAY more tea!
Just as Howard Stern memorably spoke out about the controversy earlier this week, now so too is Sharon Osbourne, and she’s not holding anything back in her thoughts about the controversy.
Reminiscing on her six seasons on the show (2007 through 2012), Ozzy Osbourne‘s famous wife admitted on The Talk that the whole thing was indeed a bit of a “boys’ club,” led by creator and current judge Simon Cowell:
“I’m going to be truthful. It is a boys’ club. OK? It is. And the boys take care of each other.”
Then she dropped a bomb on a subject no one in Hollywood likes to discuss! She revealed:
“And the women are not paid as much as the men.”
WHUT??
She continued:
“I was on the show before Howie [Mandel]. I was one of them who helped put the show where it was. Simon wasn’t on the show [at the time that I was]. Simon owns the show, and the time I was there, Simon was never on the show. So, when the show was doing 16 million [and] 14 million [viewers], Simon was never there.”
Ooooh… there’s a little ratings shade thrown Simon’s way! Love it!
With her co-hosts listening intently, Osbourne continued to discuss some more of the inner workings over at AGT during her run, too!

Inneresting!!! Not even Howard Stern mentioned the money during his rant the other day! Maybe he didn’t know? Hmmm…
Regardless, bravo to Sharon for sharin’ the REAL story! And to Gabrielle, for continuing to follow up, no matter how far down the rabbit hole this controversy may go! Something tells us Simon will soon have a lot of explaining to do…
