Marble Pillows Chiseled by Hakon Anton Fageras
HÃ¥kon Anton FagerÃ¥s is a Norwegian sculptor currently based in Pietrasanta, Italy. Using a pneumatic hammer and other carving tools, FagerÃ¥s shapes blocks of marble into busts, figures, and even pillows. In this series of pillows sculpted in 2018, FagerÃ¥s manages to capture the subtle folds and wrinkles of an everyday pillow. Something that seems rather mundane, but when seen carved realistically from marble gives us pause.
